Membership renewals ahead of the start of our new membership year on 1st April have been fantastic – thank you very much indeed for your support! For those of you yet to renew please do so now in order to continue receiving the great concessions offered by our retail partners around the Dock. Your current card will cease to be accepted on the 31st March. We are delighted to announce that our latest retail partner is CAU Restaurant in Commodity Quay. Please see the News section below for details of how to book for their soft-opening offer to members valid for 7th – 9th April. You must have your new membership card to be able to access this offer. For details of how to renew your membership please refer to the email we sent to you on 26th February 2015. A date for your diary is our next Annual General Meeting which this year will be held on 29th September in the Dickens Suite of the Dickens Inn. Formal notice of the meeting will be emailed to members in early September.

The London Yacht, Jet and Prestige Car Show

Taking place from 8th – 10th April 2015 at St Katharine Docks and Old Billingsgate. We have just a few free three day passes still available for our members which allow entry into both venues and at St Katharine Docks the pass will allow you privileged access to go on board some fabulous boats!

Please click here to register for your free ticket – successful applicants will receive an email with further details. You will need to show your ticket/confirmation email from 12 noon on the first day you attend the Show at the registration point to obtain your Show pass. In St Katharine Docks the registration point is in a marquee in front of the Marina office.

The main Old Billingsgate show features a Design, Fine Art, Watch and Gift Gallery; a Travel & Summer Fashion Show featuring several of the world's top designer brands; a Design and Product Showcase; and a number of Thames-side Champagne Bars. There is also a trade exhibition of boat manufacturing companies and suppliers. Here at St Katharine Docks, there will be an exclusive show of luxury yachts mainly within the Central Basin, and a number of prestigious car brands on Marble Quay and around the Coronarium area. Oyster Yachts returning to the Marina

Oyster Yachts will be returning to the Marina at the end of April and they have invited members of the Friends to a private champagne reception on the evening of Wednesday 29th April with the opportunity to view and go on board the stylish collection ranging from the Oyster 54 to the Oyster 885. Lady Daphne Cruise – to see the Dunkirk Little Ships

This year will see the 75th Anniversary of the Little Ships returning to Dunkirk. In the lead up to this event a number of the Little Ships will sail down the Thames in convoy to the Royal Docks on the 16th May. We are currently planning an event for members to see the convoy of Little Ships from the deck of the Thames Sailing Barge "Lady Daphne" which will be moored on St Katharines Pier. We will then cruise down the river following the Little Ships and carry on to the Thames Barrier before returning to St Katharines Pier. A finger buffet will be served with wine and the all inclusive price for this exclusive charter is £65.00 per head. Timings are still to be confirmed but it is likely to be an afternoon cruise. If you are interested in this event please save the date of the afternoon of 16th May and further details will be circulated in the April Newsletter.

CAU Restaurant opening

We welcome our new neighbours, CAU Restaurant based in Commodity Quay who will be holding a soft opening from 7th – 9th April 2015. Please click here for details of a special offer for FOSKD members. Please note that you must have renewed your membership for 2015/16 to be eligible for this offer.

Their menu embraces Buenos Aires cuisine, a melting pot of comfort food inspired by Italy and Spain alongside the jewel in Argentina's crown, its beef.
